We’ve re-opened the store with these guidelines in place. It may seem a bit inconvenient, but we believe these precautions will serve the community while keeping all of us safe and healthy:
- Only one customer may be in the store at a time, and only one shopper per family.
- Each shopper must wear a mask while in the store. If you don’t have a mask, ask for a free one at the store!
- Hand sanitizer is available at the desk and must be used prior to shopping.
Curbside service will still be available for those who just aren’t comfortable shopping in the store during this time, or who don’t have a mask. Just knock, or phone 544-6506.
Thank you for your understanding during this unusual situation.
Effective immediately, the Robinson Community Store will offer only curbside service until we judge it safe to open again to walk-in customers. Prepare your shopping list and call 544-6506 during store hours (see below). The clerk will arrange to bring your order out to you. If the store is closed, you may call one of the numbers on the door for someone to provide curbside service.
This is the store’s policy for all until circumstances allow us to return to normal.
Store hours, unless otherwise posted:
Sunday Noon – 5 pm
Monday 8 – 12 am, 4 – 8 pm
Tuesday 8 – 10 am, 4 – 8 pm
Wednesday 8 – 12 am, 4 – 8 pm
Thursday 8 – 10 am, 4 – 8 pm
Friday 8 – 10 am, 4 – 8 pm
Saturday 8 am – noon
The RCBA board will not meet this Saturday. We had no urgent agenda items, so in light of the need to avoid unnecessary gatherings it seemed unnecessary.
Our May meeting will probably be via Zoom, which requires only a computer, phone, or tablet with email and a browser installed.
We will distribute the May agenda about a week before the meeting at 8:30 a.m., Saturday May 2nd. Anyone who would like an invitation to join the meeting may write firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many students and workers need to “attend” their jobs from home for a while, but not everyone has Internet in the house. Now Rainbow Communications of Hiawatha and Everest is addressing this need by installing free Internet “hotspots” in area communities.
One is in the parking area in front of the Robinson Community Store. You can sit in your car on either side of the street, or work in Memorial Park across the street. No password is required, so be aware it’s not a secure network.
Thank you to Rainbow Communications!
The Robinson Community Building Association board meets the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 at the store. All are welcome to attend.
To add questions or concerns to next meeting’s agenda, please reply to this message. The agenda will be published in about a week. Matters added after that may be discussed, but any votes will be tabled until the following meeting, except in urgent matters. This notice is also published on our website, RobinsonKS.wordpress.com, and on our Facebook page.
If you or anyone you know would like to be added to these email alerts, please reply with your email address.

For a few days, the Robinson Community Store’s hours will be reduced and very irregular as we shift schedules to protect our volunteers and customers during this critical period in the CoVid-19 situation. We apologize for the inconvenience. You may call one of the numbers posted on the front door if you need something when the store is closed. You may also request delivery to your door and we will provide it as soon as we have someone available.
