Board Meeting Minutes

December 8, 2019 – 8:30 a.m.

The Robinson Community Building Association Board met Saturday, December 8, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. Those present were board members Greg Bryant, Wendell Ganstrom, Angie Muckey, and Gary Ramey. Also present was Robert Hoopes.

President Greg Bryant called the meeting to order.

The minutes of the November 2, 2019 meeting were read and approved.

The RCBA Treasurer’s Report was $4,703.77. Angie reported some expenses not yet included: $581.21 to Wendell for the safe, security cameras, power supply, and other expenses, and $518.00 to State Farm Insurance.

The store’s net in October was down $166.21 from September, but in November it was up $379.40 from October.

Robert suggested we need a new bench out front. Wendell suggested a Leopold bench and volunteered to build it. Robert volunteered material expenses up to $100.00. Greg provided Robert a brochure explaining the Leopold bench’s history and design.

  • Cold water in the sinks? Wendell reported that we have the parts but they need to be installed.

  • Repair of floor by the freezers: it was decided to ask Bill Jackson for advice.

  • Cleaning and repairing the restroom before the Kansas Road Trip

  • Robert suggested that as many people put in a lot of work organizing the dinners, they have enough invested that maybe they should be alerted of plans for sizeable expenses or changes. Greg and others suggested some improvements in communication:

      • gather email list of those who wish to be alerted of RCBA business

      • mid-month, gather agenda items from board members and interested others

      • publish the agenda a week before each meeting

      • if new business is added during a meeting, table the vote until next meeting (exception: urgent matters)

      • publish minutes: facebook, website, email list

The meeting adjourned.
